Default illuminated on/off switch help

I'm installing this illuminated on/off switch to turn my amp on and off (no head unit). It has 5 contacts on the back as pictured (+,-,NC,NO,C)

I'm guessing when the + and - (left and right contacts) are connected the switch will illuminate. Which of the red contacts should connect to the remote trigger on the amp? My guess is NO since the circuit should not be closed unless I push the button. But what is the C contact?

Thanks

If I were to guess,
NO = normally open
NC = normally closed
C = common
Your source for the signal (+12v ?) would go to C, and then you'd connect to either NO or NC depending on whether
you want the amp to operate when the switch is depressed or up (you could also use the switch to switch between
devices by hooking up both).
You can easily confirm operation with a multimeter on the ohms setting.

Thanks - played around with it using a test light. +12v going to C. NO going to the amp and also jumped to the (+) terminal for the internal light of the switch. This way the switch will light only when the button is "on".
