I have to thank the board and its members for help with this one. As mentioned in another link I picked up the PIE Honda adapter. Which I must say works so much better than a RF adapter. But you have to wire it correctly, its not just plug and play. You HAVE to add a groud strap and attach it to the stereo (as posted in another thread)

I decided to go a bit further, I didn't want too much visible so I made up my own patch cable which utilized a 1/8" panel mount unput, split into the RCA patch cords (incase I use something later, I didn't ruin the PIE adapter) and added the ground strap. All in one nice piece.

Then I drilled a hole and mounted the jack to the front of the stereo surround. buried the wires inside and presto, stealth.

Next on the list is a panel mount FireWire port next to the input, hardwired to 12v supply to charge the iPod, and a 1/8" patch cable including the remote controls of the iPod so I can keep the main unit nice and safely tucked away.

Cool! Thanks guys!

If you remove the stereo cover (just snaps in) its pretty easy to get a hole there.

i don't suppose there would be any way to use this with a CD changer as well... ? i suppose you'd have to fabricate some little board that switched between two complete sets of 14 pin inputs.
