Looking for a new HU for my 03 and stumbled upon this beauty, anyone have use one or know about them? Need opinions/suggestions on HU's, I think I've narrowed it down to either an Alpine or a Kenwood. Also, is there somewhere cheaper then sounddomain.com where I can find these?

Does this model have DMASK? Just curious because I know that DMASK forces you to leave the door covering the HU open

 

Thats a 2002 model. When we did sell decks this was a popular one. I'd opt for a new 03 Kenwood. A good one- X 569 (i think) Excelon. Excelon has better warranty and upgradable and higher reliablity. Alpine 9813/9815 is fine too.

 

Would that Kenwood work with any of the DCI's you sell Lucid?

 

Yes it would work with the DCI perfectly.

There are no DMASK problems w/the 819 its a manual face. The 919 (excellent deck but also 02) is the auto flip face.

Also look at clarion decks www.clarion.com Displays and controls are excellent.

 

I have the 919 and it's a great head unit. I have never had problems with Kenwood.
