awsome, so we would need all 3 types? A B & C?
i would think only A (8mm) & B (10mm)

this what your referring to, right?
Type A

BTW that first site was hilarious 19.99 for EACH bulb!
You only need type A and B. But Type B bulb will sit further back than the stock bulb, because the stock one has a longer neck.

You either get around this by buying the $20 bulb from ledtronic, modify the type B LED bulb into OEM socket or try to find 12V led that will work with OEM socket.

I'll post pics of what I'm talking about later.

cool, yeah thats what travis was saying too, i think i got what your saying, would you know how many of A and B would there be? just by any chance? anybody?
at least we now know which ones they are

and how about, the Cruise control switch? start button, defogger, roof, hazards? i think these are not A nor B, maybe smaller??
You know how I said I was pretty sure the sizes were 5mm and 8mm not 8 and 10. I'm thinking the smaller cruise control, defogger, etc was the 5mm ones. Basically anything inside the rocker switches I think are the 5mm ones. Then the ones inside the audio/environmental controls were the 8mm. Then the lights behind the speedo are the 10mm. On the site, they might not refer to them as 8 and 10mm, but if you look at the drawings they provide, you'll see them dimensioned.

For the start button...I have no idea how to change that color. You really have to take the start button apart more than anyone probably intended on taking it apart...aka it's not easy. That I was going to leave alone...

bumping an old thread rather than starting a new one.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to keep the factory instrument cluster filter and just use new led red bulbs?

I want my cluster to be more red. I know the stock filter filters out blue, white , etc... but hwo will red leds look through it ?

thanks

Red can look like this with color filter/diffusers and either stock incandescent bulbs (will *not* be very visible with top down on a sunny day)....or you can swap the bulbs in their sockets w/ LEDs behind the same filter/diffusers (and it *will* be visible day or night ).

Image above is w/ filter/diffusers & stock incandescent bulbs for an AP2 digital dash PM me for more info if interested

I know DJQube does white, but anyone know how? does he just remove the red and orange filters? I'd like to replace the LED's and make my dash white. Tach, Speedo, Odometer, but leave the warnings and stuff red/orange.
