locks
Guys
I have a problem with my central locking.
When using the remote the car locks and the alarm is activated. However when I try to unlock the car the alarm dis-arms but the locks dont open...any ideas?

In US models, the harness for the alarm plugs into a few sockets inside the dash up against the driver's side fender. I don't know if a UK (rhd?) car would have this on the opposite side or not. My first suggestion would be to locate these sockets and see if everything is plugged in securely. I would expect that one wire that triggers the lock, another triggers the unlock. If a socket is lose, some pins may not make contact, which could explain the partial functionality.
If that isn't it, you're probably looking at something that needs to be replaced. Possible candidates include the alarm wiring harness (pinched/damaged wire somewhere), the alarm brain, or the door lock controller, or even a problem with the actuators.
To decide which, it would REALLY be helpful to have a pinout diagram for the OEM alarm sockets. That way, you could determine if the brain is driving the correct signals, and if they're making it all the way to the door lock controller.
Sorry if that doesn't help much, just thinking out loud.
