Default Lucid Sony DCI not working correctly?

It either does nothing or does something random (e.g. volume changes channels, operates in the opposite direction...). In years past, it was sporadic. Now it seldom works correctly. Any suggestions? Thanks!

btw I haven't taken my stereo apart yet, but before I did, I just wanted to know if others experienced this problem. Thanks!

Step one is to check all of your connections.

do they only make a wired dci for the sony???

i know i had the same problem with my alpine set up, but thats IR and it was all goofy because the IR eye couldnt see the transmitter properly.

....and now ill crawl back into my hole, because yours is probably a wired dci....

I am not familiar with the DCI, but, if it works via the wired Sony rotary remote interface then is it possible you have the remote setup on the HU reversed. The setting would be something like "RM" (Rotary Commander).

This is just a guess but I figured it's easy enough to check.

Good luck!
