More volume out of speakers?
I've gotten clean sound when the volume is up all the way(35) on my 9831. My question is, how would i get the same volume level as 35 lets say at like 26 or 27?
get the gains properly set, and make sure the HU is setup w/ no 'reduction' as well.
I have essentially the same problem with my similar setup. However, my iPod sounds fine. The CD and Tuner options are substanially lower.
Any thoughts? Same problem?
I'm adding a WLAURENT sub to the system next week and was planning on having the install guys take a look at it.
I'm not so much concerned about it ont being LOUD enough as I am concerned about the install / settings being incorrect.

It does sound as though your gains may not be set properly. I'm running the 6.1 Perfects and my volume is substantial in the high 20's. Never been in the 30's. If it isn't your gains, then move to a larger amp. I'd suggest 150 x 2 @ 4ohms for these speakers. I'm running 150 x 2 and they sound great with that amount of power.

To add what Phil is saying....
its 100% your gains.....Ive done this many times....
If the gains on your alpine amp are at 100%, and you turned the headunit to 35, you would hear a big big mess. Check the gains, and put them at about 3/4 at MOST. If its still not good enough for you, you need a stronger amp. MIne is 150 x 2 and i usually dont go past 20 on the HU, its ear piercing loud.
You are probably sending about 50rms to them assuming your gains arent set to max.
