Hello, i have looked troughly this electronic forum for awhile, and decided to go w/ Alpine HU and install it myself. while i was installing i found two orange wires comming out from honda harness( 1 orange, 1 orange/white) and i found only orange wire comming out from Alpine.
i tried to hook up both of orange wires into one alpine, orange to orange, orange/white to orange, and just not plug in.
no matter what i do they do not dim when i turn my lights on.
What should i do?any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 

you need to turn the dimmer on, on the unit itself. Go to your menu/settings, then scroll down to display, and turn the dimmer on. then you can adjust how much it dims, dimmer level 1 2 and 3
