be careful of purchasing stereo equipment from Ebay.
Crutchfield can offer you things like warranty, but $150.00 is a big difference. I don't think 50% more is worth the warranty.

If i were you, I would do a pricegrabber search for the HU. I'm sure you will find a reputable reseller that will have it for ~ 385.

i got mine off ebay, don't remember what i paid but it was the cheapest one on ebay at the time. it works totally fine and is a great head unit. buy from a reputable seller on there like ikesound or electronicgiant and you'll probably still get a warranty. the other thing you can do is if you need other equipment, just email one person and see if they'll sell it all to you, that way you can save some hassles and shipping. Most of them have much more than what they actually list on there.

uhm there are a few dealers online that have better prices then crutchfield. etronics has that head for 360ish. that's the going rate on the net.

the going rate for the 7894 is around $320. i would not pay that much from an ebay dealer just because there are reputable dealers online for that amount.

Why don't you check www.etronics.com . Their prices are pretty good, and while I don't think they are 'authorized' they are reputable.

FWIW I have had some 'grey' Alpine products and I was able to register them for warranty on their site.

I would also check www.etronics.com , I got mine from there for 385. Their service was quick and hassle free.

Why pay 320 for the 7894 when you could get it from your local Circut city fot like 349, no shipping and a warranty. Yes the 7995 is bad ass, man does it make the s sound good; good choice simioen
