You can still show us pics of the trunk, I doubt that looks stock.

take some shots of the amp mounting and such... that's always nice to see. and the 500/5 is no small amp... i'd love to see where you hid it away.
still -- glad to hear everything's setup and that you're happy w/ it. i'm going to have to find the MMATS and hear them... they aren't a speaker that i'm familiar with... is that an abbreviation of their name or the actual brand? is there a specific model?

the final decissions....
alpine 7894 HU $250
MMATS 6.5" components (best speakers ive heard) $360
JL audio stealthbox $480
JL audio 500/5 amp $600
(250/1 to the sub...100/2 to the components...and 25/2 left over incase I want to add rears or a center later)
total cost $1690
slightly over budget but well worth it....the system sounds incredible...I would post pics but everything is hidden...without opening the door to the HU the car appears to have a stock system, but turn up the volume and its a different world...

thanx again for all the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did anybody tell you the real reason not to use the headunits power for components.....especially with an Alpine head.............
On that deck, if you turn the internal amplifier off, the signal/noise goes up greatly, therefore giving you a huge difference in SQ. If you havent done so yet, turn that feature off in the deck. When you put the silly on the system to tune it up, you will notice a huge difference. And another thing, you couldnt have done better than going JL. Still the best regulated amp on the market, and it doesnt get any better than a stealth box, especially when you get that great 2 yr. from a dealer!!!!!!!
Great decisions on equipment, and no doubt you will have a great sounding, and long lasting system!!!!!!!!

Very nice install
And don't believe what these guys say; Rat nests are sexy
Now, let me tell you what you want to do with those two leftover channels. You want to biamp your components. Yes you do.
