im planning to get an alpine deck. should that matter?

 

Really you need to go listen to both sets if you haven't already. Its more of a personal preference on speakers. All speakers have thier different sounds. You may like one, while I like another ect.

My car has the Alpine Type S speakers in the doors. They came in the car when I bought it. Now, I like the speakers, but that doesn't mean you will. I also still have the stock headunit, but for now it sounds good enough for my likings.

Also, Do you plan on amping them Or use the Alpine headunit power??

Like Its been said many times on this site and others, You should really go and listen to a few different speakers to get a feel for what they sound like. Maybe find a friend or someone local that has them installed w/ and w/o a upgraded headunit.

Its a to each his own thype of thing. Everyones ears are different, So I would suggest buying what you like
