Battery group 51: (LxWxH) 9.4" x 5.1" x 8.9". This is OEM
Kinetik KHC1400: (LxWxH) 9.0" x 5.3" x 8.1" (8.9" with post). This is the closest size that can be fit without any modification.
That will fit without any problems.

^ No problem.

For the battery experts: the HC800 model is good enough for basic electronics right? I'm going to have some gauges, Accusump, and MAYBE an amp for speakers, no Subs though. The nearly 40lb HC1400 model seems overkill for a non-sub car.

What a coincidence, I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to GEICO.

I contacted Optima Customer service directly via e-mail. It took a while, about a week before I got my first response. After I described my problems in details. I received another response asking me to fax my original purchase receipt and to give the serial number on the side. Once that was done, I was offered a replacement or a refund.
