Default no more power door locks, no trunk opener

ok so this morning, i replaced my battery since it was due and died on me a few weeks back.. long story short, i removed the negative terminal, then the positive terminal, took the old battery as a core, installed the new one, put the positive first, then the negative. i made sure that both terminals did not touch.

i got in the car, started it with no problem, and drove home.. when i parked my car, it didn't work. my oem alarm does not work anymore. my power door locks doesnt function. i can't even open the trunk by pressing on the trunk opener button inside the glove box

i tried re-programming my alarm ( http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=159089 ) but it still does not work..

did i blow a fuse? everything else works in the car (car starts, AC works, honk honks, electric port below glove box works.. everything BUT the power door locks, the trunk opener button from the glove box, and the alarm itself)

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me diagnose this issue.. thanks in advance

It might be a fuse, I need to check my helms, I will get back to you (unless someone else can chime in who knows exactly what it is)

All the locks are wired to one central box I believe, so a fuse is probably the culprit.

Why not just check your fuse before posting this? I mean you could have checked them in the time it took you to get online and write up the post...

No, but my car also didn't come with a manual... besides that, if something fluke like this happened and I thought it was a fuse, even if I fixed that fuse I would check the rest to make sure it didn't happen to something else as well. (Oh, and if you say that checking them all is too much work... it's really not that hard, it's what I did when I had a problem... and if you don't want to pull them out individually then you can go to any parts store and get a cheap little fuse tester)

Diagnosing a problem is generally a multi-step process, you look at the symptoms then come up with a possible problem and a solution. You try that solution and see if the symptoms still exist, and you start over. He even asked if he blew a fuse... which would be the first solution to try when multiple almost unrelated electrical devices just stop working... Well why is he asking us? It's not like we can go check it.

I have this problem my oem remote keeps blowing my keyless fuse...I have an after market alarm and everything was fine. I used the oem remote once to see if works and it did. I used it again and it blew the fuse. I replaced the fuse pressed the oem remote button and it blew again. I am not familiar with tracing a short. Does anyone know where I should start looking?
