Ok so i have a AP1 and ive been searching for a day now and still cant find the speaker size.
some people say 5.25 some say 6x9
i really have no idea.
i took my subs out of my trunk (too heavy) and just want to upgrade speakers for a little better sound

so anyone know the actual size in AP1s?

Almost any 6.5 or 6.75" round speaker will fit with an adapter (usually included with the speaker). There is a good thread called DIY: How to install component speakers with good pics. The only dimensions that sometimes cause a problem are depth and magnet diameter, which might block the window mechanism, but most models work fine. Chances are that whatever you pick will have a review on this forum somewhere so it's easy to double check.

I believe 5.25 and 6x9 are common sizes when adding speakers behind the seats, which requires cutting into the rear vent panels.
