Placing a 4-channe amp under the seat
I should have my Infinity 7541a by end of this week and was seriously considering placing it under the passenger seat.
I looked at the heat sinks and it seems like the MOSFETS are attached to the heatsink plates directly to the sides, vs. on some amps the heat sinks are on the bottom? This allows for a flat mount without running into heating problems since the fins are on the side.
Has anyone fit one under the seat. I figure there is more air flow in the cabin than the trunk and mounting one under the passenger set would have additional benefits.
1. Free seat warmer
2. Shorter cable pulls
3 better overall air flow than trunk.

Wont work. There is actually more room under the driver's seat than the passenger's seat. That requires a tiny amp to begin with (9" x 11" x 2.5".....I think that is the max dimension). Infinity amps are large. I have the 7520a, and there is NO way it will fit under the seat.
You might want to check and see if it will fit above teh gas tank, next to the spare. Not sure. Also, check and see if it would fit on one of PAS2KNut's racks, upright against the front of the trunk.
Check your dimensions.....Infinity amps are big. I know a Boston GT-22 2-CH amp will fit under there, but it is a squeeze.

Infinity 7541a (16-3/8" x 12-1/8" x 2-11/16" )
Boston Acoustic GT-24(18" x 8-7/8" x 2-1/4" )
I have GT-24 behind driver seat. If your passenger is rarely occupied, then you can install 7541a behind passenger seat. This Infinity is too large for under seat installation. John is corrected about driver seat has more room under it than passenger seat.
To keep the amp cool, I always have some of the air flow directed to the floor. In one hour drive 2 weeks ago on highway with top down at noon, I had my volume at very high level and the amp was barely warm.
