Default Power Steering not Working

Hey everyone, this is my first post on here. I'm having some issues and have looked into everything to try and figure out the problem. I crashed my car back in June. I jumped a curb backwards and hit a fire hydrant. Luckily the hydrant was off so no water came out. I recently got my car all back together but the power steering is acting up. It feels very stiff to turn whereas if I'm going around a corner I can let go of the steering wheel and it will hold that direction.
I've tried resetting the torque sensor. If I turn the steering wheel at the 45 degrees left and turn the car on and go through about 3 steps but then the EPS light just stays on. The ABS light is also putting out code 61 but I'm pretty sure I know whats causing that. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.

I'd put car on lift and check EPS unit, all tie rods, all electrical connections. Looks like there may have been damage to the front end, which the repair ppl did not address. Or repair correctly. Car is unsafe, until you find the cure.

Good luck!

Slightly bent rack from the crash. This is what they do. Remove it, remove the boots, and it should turn all the way right and left without much resistance and be dead straight exiting the housing.

I should say, have the shop do it. I assume you didn't repair it yourself.

And Fix the ABS light too. Part of the crash repair.

Once you get it repaired check for a popped fuse in the system.

So I came to the conclusion that the power steering isn't out but I still don't know why it "sticks". Could this still be the rack causing this problem?
