rear view of the door panel?
I just replaced my speakers this weeekend, shoulda taken pics though. Dont' have it, but you can pull it open VERY easily - takes about five minutes with a phillips head screw driver - instructions can be found here: http://users.rcn.com/dhintz/Michelle/Audio/audio.html
they worked for me.

try to see how much room I have to play with if I had to make a spacer... righ tnow I am set on those planet audios. These new planets should sound good, I like their current line of speakers. But I figured if I have more room, could get something else on there. :shurg:
Hopefully those subs will fit well in the back seat.

well, I got the Sony 1631's - cheap - 59 dollar upgrade, and it was worth it, had to kill the rear of the buckets. no biggie, and then seal em back up with some plastic so moisture stays out. you should be able to see and measure if you pull one of the door panels off. its really not that bad.

Shingles,
Go to my website (the one schatten listed) and look at the image with measurements...that should give you an idea as to how thick of a spacer you need to create. For the outer mesh on the door, well, I created an image with measurement for that as well, but keep forgetting to put it on my page.
