Default Request: DIY: Boot amp & sub installs

Hey guys, i apologise profusely if this has been covered 1000 times, but maybe im slightly retarded. I cant find any DIY sound installs particularly for the wiring paths from the head unit to the boot in terms of wiring up and amp and a sub (and obviously connecting the door speakers to the amp as well), If anyone knows of one such post please can you guide me to it, or just some decent advise could go down well.

Thanks in advance.

Presumably you know how to wire an amp correctly.

This post isn't for your amp specifically but it goes over how to remove the panels you need to etc.

Also I found it easier to slightly remove the carpet rather than run the wiring along the side as it was a little too tight a fit.

Also my amp sits in my spare tire well.

Bought mine here

In addition to John's guide, here are a few more useful threads:

Running power cable to trunk

grommet by battery

more on wires to trunk

running wires through the center console

running speaker wires into doors

As for running the power wire, I would run it on the drivers side as there are a lot of power lines in that area. Running your RCA's on that side would cause some disruption imo.

im sporting a right hand drive though, so i have the eurospec s2000. So i think i could probably do passengerside and avoid the powerlines. but i'll take a look and let you know. I'll get stuck into it tomorrow morning. Thanks again for the advice
