rsx sub install into s2k
If you are talking about the 6.5inch BOES encloser
I would take the enclosure throw everything else out!!
Use a Tang bang 6.5" sub Fs=32hz Xmax=11.5mm one way
And get a small 50rms/100 watt amp.
Tang bangs out preform any other 6.5 inch sub out there.

to answer the OP:
to the best of my recollection here are some of the more critical threads on the issue:

just be forewarned -- this sub pretty much sucks. don't expect much out of it. the ole phrase "No highs, no lows, it must be BOSE" wasn't just made up to be bad PR.

I may be the only one who likes this but it worked out perfect for me. I put a JL Audio 6W0 sub drive in it, driven by a small Soundstream amp. I wasn't looking for (and dislike to have) a boom and shake, but this gives enough punch to complement MB Quart component in front and Polk component in the rear, both driven by separate amps. All this, with three amps mounted above gas tank, I didn't use any space in the trunk. I cut open a hole on plastic tray panel under the folded top to tighten the long screw to secure the speaker box and the spare. Remember my sub is much closer to my ear than the one in the tool well. If anyone's in the Bay Area I would offer a listening to my system. I would think this stacks up pretty good against the more elaborate and expensive set up.

Use a tange bange
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tnumber=264-832
Cheaper and will out preform a JL6W0 in every way
Fs................................ 36.7 (6w0)..........35(TB)
Xmax..........................7.6mm (6w0)........11.5mm (TB)
efficiency (1w/m).........81.6dB (6w0)........85bB (TB)
And the TB are vented "Neodymium magnet" and magnetley shield.

As an enclosure driven from an external amp it works great
