If I were having a sub, I would definitly get an amp for the front speakers, otherwise the bass will overpower everything and not sound too good.

How deep of a speaker can you put into an S-Pod? I searched this whole thread for "depth" but didn't see anything.

If you want a balanced system, yes: two amps. If you want ghetto bass, no: one amp.

You definitly want to offer the fronts some power, it's mo' betta.

quick question for Mark - installed your S-Pods today thanks for a GREAT invention - used a set of diamond M35s - the top of the speakers cover the top velcro strip - any idea how i can fix this?? i think i saw a version that was held on push clips instead of velcro (could be way off) - - or should i just build up the velcro? - for those wondering these sound awesome

Thanks for your help

BASS--

You could mount your speaker to the inside part of the S-Pod first. That's what I had to do. My JBL 508GTI's were too large and sat too high mounted on the front. If you mount the speaker on the inside first it makes lining the screws up a bit of a challenge. But with practice .. and a ton of cussing .. you'll get it ..

Sorry you couldn't find any info on depth. I've yet to hear of a speaker with depth issues. 3.5inches are available.

Thanks guys for the great info here. I have ordered red spods, crystal cpe-50's, and crystal cpe-60's. These are for my Sebring - red interior 2002. Am keeping stock HU and no sub (for now?)

Will post pics if it ever warms up enough for install here (Michigan 10 degrees F this am!)

Thanks Mark!
