S2000 Dials flickering and frozen

the gray connector "29" appears to be C502 - "connects dashboard wire harness A to driver's door wire harness"
Interestingly, the black wire leads to ground G501, the very ground identified earlier as common to the gauges
and dash controls. Try jiggling just that wire if you can.

!!ISSUE SOLVED!!
Thank you to all input on this post.
Oth.... your final words of wisdom guided me! - If you are ever in the UK (Near Bristol) swing by and I will buy you a cold one!
So i looked at G501 again and tried to trace cable and as I did... I came across another earthing point!!

After tightening this up...
Everything is perfect again. No loss of dials when doing up windows and my audio controls work like a charm.
This shows what i was experiencing when putting the kick plate back in place that it must have needed to push the cables in such a way that it made a better contact.
All is now resolved!
