YeliaB - it's well worth it to get the Electrical Troubleshooting manual if you plan on doing this type of stuff to the car. It details every wire and every connector in the car, though it does NOT always tell you what each wire is for. If you can read schematics (I assume you can) you can usually figure it out. The only tricky stuff is when they use acronyms for engine-related sensors and signals and it's not obvious what they mean.

I have manuals up to '05 but haven't ordered the '06 yet. There are differences in the alarm wiring between AP1 and AP2, mostly due to the gauge cluster being different. I doubt there's much difference between '05 and '06 though.

Some of us have given advice in older posts about connecting after-market shock sensors into the factory system but I don't know if the end-user gave any feedback on how well it worked.
