Default Sound Setup

I'm thinking of replacing the stock speakers with aftermarket as they have better sound quality. I will be getting a sub to go in the truck space with new door speakers(and possibly headrest units later on). I searched around and found the below. Please tell me if they will fit and work properly and if they will work with the audio controls on the dash.

Sub : Alpine SWR-1043D

•peak power: 1,800 watts
•sensitivity: 83 dB
•top-mount depth: 5-7/8"
•sealed box volume: 0.5-1.0 cu. ft.

•App Mode offers limited control of music apps through iPhone connection
•compatible with satellite radio tuner
•inputs: front panel auxiliary and rear-panel USB inputs
•outputs: 6-channel preamp outputs (4-volt front, rear/subwoofer)
Other info:
•compatible with most factory steering wheel audio controls (adapter required)

Will the above work well together? I have no experience with car audio. What else will i need to have this working? Like to use the dash controls.

To power all this would I need another battery?

I would really appreciate any input on this.

I'd get better door speakers - that's where most of your sound reproduction comes from

http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-SPR-17S...ine+type+r+6.5

I'd also amplify the door speakers - maybe get a 4 channel amp to drive door speakers and sub as well.

For that you'd need a less power hungry sub http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SWS1...D4.html?tp=111

A DCI is required for dash controls with aftermarket head units (was in the Audio FAQ, not sure why it was removed). Modifry's is always highly recommended.

I strongly agree with both of these guys. Amplified quality door speakers will do wonders.
