speaker recommendations

speaker recommendations
just looking for product recommendations for replacement/upgraded door speakers over the OEM ones, given the following:
Model year 2000 (no tweeters)
$150 upper budget limit for pair
unwilling to cut/modify opening (must be same size)
I assume I should get coaxial speakers with a built in crossover. I may add rear speakers later behind the seats, but want to add one item at a time to see how much difference it makes.
Yes, I know the stock head unit isn't great, but like I said, I'm looking to change one thing at at time to see how much improvement there is.
Suggestions/advice appreciated. Thanks all!

I have an unopened set of Honda headrest speakers and connecting cable for sale right now. I'm not sure how much shipping would be, but they are specifically for the Honda S2000. I bought them, then changed my mind. I need the money now, as I'm out of work and not getting unemployment yet.
