Default Speaker WIres Behind the seats

After reading through all thee posts in this section I still do not have a definative answer regarding whether or not there are speaker wires behind the rear seats of my 2004 S. I am planning on doing some headreat speakers this weekend and need to know if I am going to have to run wires or not from my stock headunit.

Well there are no stock speakers there so I'm gonna venture to say there is no speaker wire and you'll have to run it which isn't a big deal

'04-'05 should be wired for headrest speakers. Earlier models weren't, and later models had the roll hoop speakers as a stock configuration.

That said, I don't know why you would spend the money on OEM headrest speakers when you could do so much better with aftermarket gear for the same amount.

My plan is to buy some aftermarket and wire them in. WHere would I find the speaker wire? Would it be behind the seat panel?

I believe the rear speaker wires in an '04 are terminated by the driver's
right knee, not behind the seats.
Here are the installation instructions for the factory headrest speakers -
step #56 will show you where the rear speaker connectors are located.
You'll need to run speaker wire back from the connectors to your rear
speakers.
