Speakers not working..HELP!
For my 4gen prelude, my speakers have stopped working and I have no idea why. Let me start with that the car hasn't been started for maybe 3 weeks but it was working before than. I had to have it jumped and that's when I realized it wasn't working.
One thing to add though, my subs in the trunk were still working so I figure there is nothing wrong with the radio. I checked the connections to make sure everything was still connected good and everything seem fine. I check fuses just in case but I figure if my radio is working than that shouldn't be a problem. When I turn the deck on, it makes the usual sound it makes when turned on as well as it powers up my antenna still. I am out of ideas. I just don't understand how my subs are working but none of my speakers are working in the car.
A few questions I wonder. Is it possible just those particular speaker wires have gone bad? Or maybe I should just replace the whole harness?
Let me know what you guys think. TIA.

how is your system configured?
I assume you have an amp powering your sub, do you have one
powering your speakers too?
are you using the stock headunit? if so, how do you have the amp(s)
connected to it?
if your sub is connected to the rear channels of the headunit, have you
checked that the fader isn't faded all the way to the rear?

I have an aftermarket radio. I believe the sony xplode model. Yes, I have an amp powering my subs. Basically, the amp is connected to the radio using the speaker component jacks. My Sony is connected with the harness provided and all I had to do was just splice and connected the wires which is pretty simple. Once that was done, just plug and play. I checked the fader as well and it was fine. It's just so odd that none of my speakers in the car are working at all(front and rear speakers). Truthfully, I've had this same setup for years now and to suddenly do this is puzzling.
Curious to ask, there is no fuse of any sort that would be causing this problem, right? Is it possible it is bad wires on the harness?
Thanks for the input oth. More welocomed. Thanks
