Default stereo newb in need of advice

i recently got a great deal on a used S, but now i realize i need to upgrade my stereo. i used to own a lexus with a nakamichi system which i loved (despite its modest bass response) and would like to replicate that system in my S.

so i was thinking the nak cd-400, with the nak 6.5 components, and a 2 channel nak amp...? i don't think i will ever add a sub...?

one of the problems i have is that i'm in atlanta with no nakamichi dealers, so i have never listened to any of the above equipment. and essentially i'm just going by previous ownership experience and good reviews.

has anyone tried the setup above or something similar to it? any comments? do the nak components even fit? ... will they fit with lucid's adapters?

are there other equivalent or similar equipment that i should look into?

as you can tell, i have no idea where to start. so any and all help is greatly appreciated!

dan

p.s. the database is saying my VIN is invalid, has anyone else had issues or problems? thanks again.

Well.....although Nakamichi is amazing stuff, their car audio....is ok. You can get much better equipment for a lot less money. Alpine, Focal, Infinity, etc....
Looks at the audio FAQ and install threads and you should get PLENTY of answers.
