Default Sub

I just purchased a 1000W 12" Tarantula Sub with an RMS of 750-1000, and to push it, I am thinking of either a 1400 W mid grade amp, or a 1200 W Tarantula amp, I would almost automatically go for the Tarantula, if it were not soooo expensive. I need advise on this. As for the location, I am making the well into a box w/o the tool kit.

I'd suggest you try without any dynomat and then use where you need it. I don't think many s2k owners are using any dynomat, but then again most don't have such a powerful sub/amp. If you're worried about rattles, you should search for "rattles" in the electronics forum and you'd find what are the common things that rattle and how to get rid of them.

Personally I'm only using dynomat for the door speakers and removed the rear deck (plastic that the top sits on) cause it rattled too much.

My trunklid has it. That, and using weatherstripping all over my license plate has made me relatively rattle-free back there.

Cool, I just dropped off my car with the guy, and I decided to go with the 2 channel 700 watt amp, and bridging it to the sub. The guy said that he is going to resin the whole carpet area, and then bondo it, and paint it with the stock GPW. He is doing all of the labor for $500, which I was very happy with.
