I'm considering the audiobahn q aluminum sub 10" Its a 800watt rms sub on 3 or 6 ohms. I dont really know how the ohm and impendance works. Most subs i see run 1 or 2 ohms...sometimes 4. Anyone know of a good amp to buy to power this sub? Or will suggest a good sub/ amp combo?

 

what is your price range, favorite music styles, and 'bump' goal?

personally -- for the money, i wouldn't touch a Audiobahn sub. for the most part, there are better and cheaper alternatives out there.

 

If you like bass......

You can go wrong with a
Soundstream Tarantula (about 160-190 bucks....),
and an Audibahn A/B class A2401Q (140W @ 2 ohm) can be had from the zeb.com for 150 bucks. Cant go wrong.....


This will give you MORE than enough bass for an s2k.

P.S. A lot of people will discourage from Audiobahn amps, but they put out great power, sound great, AND ARE CHEAP.....(you aint gettin Carnegie Hall in an S2k....) I have 2 of them and couldnt be happier......

Dual 6 Ohm | 3 Ohm or 12 Ohm Operation 800 watt RMS.

Will that Audibahn A/B class A2401Q (140W @ 2 ohm) amp power this sub? I guess I would bridge it to 280W mono. Dont know if this will be enough power. Help?

 

Like Phil said, I recommend Audiobahn amps.....not so much their subs. They are not the highest quality construction and tear easily. Get a Tarantula from E-tronics for 180 bucks, and youll be happy as a bug.
