The 8" subs are rated +/-3dB to 2000 Hz, I believe. Not really an issue there, I guess.

I was thinking of putting the 3s in the A-pillar with some form of fashioned trim piece (possibly just get a new pair from a dealer and cut them). Just conjuring up ideas, at the moment.

 

You should be fine...if you can get them to fit in the doors . Let me know as I have a pair of 8"s also and if it fits, I will be doing the same.
