Having removed evry piece of trim, dasjboard, paneling, etc in the passenger compartment + trunk... I found no place in the passenger compartment for a 10" sub. I was going to cpoy the NSX install in the passenger footwell but there was not nearly enough room.

As for the trunk/tire well box... I made an angled vent that the roof folds down onto with the unostructed vent for the bass to "permeate" through... Without the custom vent I couldn't hear a thing.

One other note: With my Comptech exhaust, I cannot hear much bass at highway speeds. The exhaust sounds almost completely eliminate the tight accurate bass I tried for so long to create. I can still feel the bass, I just can't hear it when it plays in its audible range...

A bigger amp will make all the difference, but the venting will improve the efficiency. My exhaust have a fairly deep note and runs at 91db at 50ft, but I can't hear anything other than music at freeway speeds, with the top down.

I have amps! Maybe I am just not turning the volume up enough to overcome the exhaust volume... my two Alpine MRV-1507 amps max out at 1500watts each, so I should have plenty of power for a 3-way component set and a 10" sub...

Hi Shaner

I'll say you have amps! 3000 watts max, you should be careful, that could drive a sonic weapon and if used improperly could jellify everyone in the car.

my PG ZX600ti fits very nicely where the spare tire used to be...600W RMS...and never overheats...no complaints.

I can post pics of my ghetto install if you want...

2x6spds,

I did previously post pics of the sub box installed...

I will post pics of my revised IVA-C800 install, my revised Dynaudio 3-way install, and my lucite amp rack in the trunk...

Let me just finish up

Dynaudio? Shaner! Isn't terrestial audio technology good enough for you? You feel the need for speakers made by the audio gods themselves? Wow!

I want to hear a set of their Evidence speakers at work. $89,000 a pair (or is it each?) but the best on the planet.

For those of you who have vented your subwoofers:

Where did you make the vent??

I am currently running a JL 12" sub in the trunk and not satisfied with the muffled sound.

Any suggestions as to venting the system properly? I guess making a vent to the passenger compartment would be like having a 6th order band pass system (my current woofer is in a sealed enclosure).

Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
