Super-quick question for iDA-X100 owners
Hello all,
I just installed my new iDA-X100 Alpine iPod receiver thingy and DCI. Thanks to Modifry for making the world's easiest to install wiring harness by the way.
The question is this: even idling in my parking garage I need to turn the volume level up about 40% to make out the speech on FM talk radio. Using the iPod connection is a little better, but I still need over half of max volume to get loud enough where I didn't want to blare my music in my shared parking garage. Is this normal/expected, or did I make some sort of wiring error?
Basically I don't mind cranking the thing up if it remains distortion free, but I figured after the stock head unit I would need to turn the volume bar up less, not more.
Thanks for any and all help.

I still have stock speakers, but I do need it up pretty far to hear it. It is definitely better than my previous stereos in regards to distortion. Not too much even all the way up. BUT it seems to be getting worse as the stock speakers get worse.
