System Installed this weekend... Awesome
Now I REALLY REALLY enjoy driving my car. I didn't think that was possible.
I have the JL Stealth box, Diamond Audio S600s components, Pioneer DEHP7000 (few years old), and a Blaupunkt PA4100.
Went with the Blaupunkt so that I could keep the amp out of the trunk, and mount it under the seat. BUT once the installer saw how the install would be and I saw it to we decided against it, to much visible amp and didn't look very clean. I didn't want to give up anymore trunk space, but while we had the trunk apart, installed DynoMat, we found space above the gastank on the left side (driver side). I haven't seen how he mounted the amp, we took it out of it's casing but I know it does fit.
Everything sounds great, especially after I've broken it in. Speakers took a few minutes to warm up, a little tinny at first but they're perfect now. Very pleased with the sound. The sub adds just enough bass and my HU sends a 4.5v preout which I'm sure helps. The pre-set EQ is decent enough for different types of music. I'm very happy with my system, and was somewhat suprised how well it handled at loud volumes.
Some people don't like the Blaupunkt amps, but for the ability to install it somewhere else besides the trunk, and still provide enough power for my whole system, it kicks @ss.
I'll post pictures of the amp install when I get a chance.

What do you mean when you say you "took it out of its casing"? If you removed the metal surrounding the amp, you have severely decresed its power handling capacity since the case acts as a heatsink for the power MOSFETs.

Yeah they have a bulky plastic casing around them. I removed that exposing the metal casing.
I bought the amp from ikesound.com, the amp is difficult to find. Not sure if they even have it in stock. It provided a very stealth install.
