Listen.......I got no beef with the Q line......just the rest of the line is garbage. I actually like the piercing titanium tweeter. I however, HATE their price....they def. dont sound 3 times better than my Infinitys.

Yeah i stiull cant decide for the front speakers, the only issue that i have is 300/2 to infinity kappa perfect 6.1's is loud enough? If the answer is yes then I am pretty much going with those. I just need couple more pople to confirm kappa perfect 6.1 is better than xr650csi. and since the custome installation is gonna take so much, I might need the cheaper speakers.

I have Inifinitys. My best friend has the XRs. He admitted that my speakers sound better, more natural, and crisper. His tweeter blew, and 1 woofer as well, at 75wrms. I have 150 going to mine. On top of that.....ill tell you guys a little secret.

When I was installing my system, the first day, I have a friend do some of the tedious work for me......(crimping, making speaker basket...etc)

While he was drilling the speaker into the basket, the drill slipped and punctured the cone. I got mad, called Infinity, and ordered a replacement woofer. However, I didnt want to leave the door empty, so I put the punctured speaker in. After I finished the install, I played music and to my surprise, no distortion. So to this day, I left the punctured speaker in there......
After people hear it, they are amazed that the speaker is damaged. Go with Infinity, I promise you wont be disappointed. To this day, I still have the Infinity woofer replacement sitting in my room, BRAND NEW.....thinking of what I can do with it.....For those who want to know, here is a detail pic of the speaker....

I can vouch for the quality of the Inifinitys. They sound great with digital music, and most rock. They really do a great job. What are the XR's you are referring to?

I had infinty SM150's as a teenager. I used to DJ the school dances with these home speakers, seriously I did. I sold them about five years later for about $150 less than what I paid for them. I've heard alot of infinities in car audio and people love 'em. Especially the ravers, and electronic music people. They do great with digitally enhanced recordings. I personally find them to be a little brite, but they make great gear at a great price, and can handle tons of volume and power.

yup, the 165W's are way expensive... the Focal K series are a bit cheaper, but if you don't mind the strong highs - the Infinities are a good deal.

btw -- i'd definitely recommend you go listen to them and not just take our word on it.

If you like the mediocre W7's you should hear a tarantula with a 1600.1 tarantula amp.....

Dont go JL.
