Default Viper 7900

Anyone have experience with this alarm? My range seems really sucky with it and im wondering if i got a bad unit or the range in its just crappy? I can be like less than 50 yards away, plain view, and the remote will say outta range.

Who installed it? Check the grounds, do you have tint? Possible a bad antenna pr remote. Unplug the antenna and plug it back in.

mecp here

the installation cant have MUCH to do with it unless its the connection from the antenna to the actual brain, ground and 12v. check if the antenna is mounted behind metallic tint or extremely dark tint.

the 7900 is a new unit but shouldnt have problems with range. I have installed about 2 and they have a good 1/4 mile range. If all else fails just get a new brain and transponder. you dont buy a viper without the long range.
