Viper Alarm & Door Locks
Hey All,
I've been researching how to install a viper alarm (690xv) into my 2004 s2k, and I'm having the hardest time figuring out how to get the door locks configured. Any help would be appreciated. Here's what I have so far.
I've read in previous threads on this board that the s2k uses a 5 way door system. I found a link to what I think is an example of this here.
my alarm has two wires for door locking/unlocking
Green (-)Lock, (+)Unlock output
Blue (-)Unlock, (+)Lock output
I'm guessing that means that they switch polarities when they lock/unlock.
At the Keyless Entry Module, there are two wires for locking/unlocking.
pink/black ->Power Lock
yellow/green and pink/blue ->Power Unlock
This is where I'm completely confused. From the diagram in the service manual, I think that I have to send +12v into the pink/black wire to unlock the doors
I think that I have to send +12v into the yellow/green and pink/blue to get the doors to lock.
(The Keyless entry module diagram is on page 22-131 in the service manual if anyone is interested )
I'm feeling like I've almost got it, but it's just out of reach. It's so frustrating. If anyone's had experience that they'd like to share, I'd be eternally grateful.
Thanks

The small blue and green wires are a switching source for the locks, and their output is determined by the polarity the lock/unlock wires rest at.
For the negative trigger S2k, you'll use the green for lock and the blue for unlock.
The wires can be found at the keyless module located directly behind the engine on the opposite side of the dash.
There are two blank spots in the keyless module harness, in between a red/white wire and a yellow/black wire. The slot closest to red/white is lock, the other is unlock.
What I did, and it took like 3 minutes, was I dremeled out the slots to make one big slot, without interfering with the slots beside the two. I had another harness from a different radio and just pulled out two wires with the terminated ends on them and plugged them straight up.
Just a really small female quick disconnect is all you need (x 2) or you can solder the wires directly onto the prongs.
If your proficient in alarm installs you'll figure it out.
