Default What is this?

While installing my satellite radio I popped off the passenger side under dash pannel and found this device.

The fuse holder is broken so it is not energized. It has +/- 12V and a white wire that runs to a terminal block. There is also a small electronic beeper hooked to it.

I have had the car since 2005 and never have been up into that side of the dash before today.

Comment appreciated

Is your s2k a Japanese import? As could be a de-limiter but doubtful...

try tracing the non power wires (basically the signal ones) and see what it connects too

Do you have an aftermarket HU? Do your left side dash controls work?

Could it be some sort of DCI?

That was my first thought. Trying to recover some brain cells.....When I first got the car I recall hearing a readline beep. then it quit and I never looked into it.

I have DCI and it resides under the radio.

Indeed, that is what it is. I replaced the fuse holder and it works. Not that I can hear it all that well with the Invidia Thanks to all
