Default What do you guys think?

I just had my soundsystem finished today!!! Alpine HU 9857, Polk Momo components up front, Polk momo coaxels fitted in the Spods, and JL Audio amp (forget the model#). Anyway, I am contemplating on switching the speakers to the Focal brand (the car place I am dealing with can switch em out at no charge). Or should I just add another amp and a subwoofer/Bazooka tube???

And if I end up upgrading to the Focals, which ones do I go with...V1 or the V2's???

300 watts from what I am told (but JL is underrated from my understanding). It seems that I have too much highs, and not enogh bass!!! From what people are telling me I should switch to the Focal brand...

That is not enough power for the Focals. You can run them, but they will be starved and won't sound better than your current set up. If you aren't getting enough mid, you might want to adjust your settings on the headunit. You won't get any true bass out of your fronts, some low midrange at best. For true bass you are going to need a sub. Even a small sub can produce lo frequencies that will create a better overall music experience. You don't need to shake your mirrors for good sound.

On the crossovers for your fronts is there a freq adjustment? If so turn down your tweeters a bit. Sometimes tweeters can sound harsh in such a small cabin and overwhelm any mids your speakers might be producing.
