Here's an old tip - instead of using 'mold fabric', for a good thick molding fabric, fleece backed sweatshirt material works great, is about 1/3 the cost, and results in a thicker 'first pour'.

Its the same thing. I buy it from Select Products, Joanne fabrics, Walmart has it once in a while. A good molding fabric can be pulled in both directions not just one. That's why I use the term molding fabric. Heck you can use trunk liner but if the shape is weird you'll never get it to form to that shape.
