Default Where is everyone getting the power cable through the firewall?

Just wondering where everybody is getting power wire for an amplifier through the firewall. It is too cold out right now for me to dig around, but any answers will be appreciated. Oh by the way, I will be using 4 guage wire. (yellow jacket of course!)
Thanks,
Del

i'm not sure about the others but there is a rubber grommet you should be able to use on the firewall. its located between the "brake booster" and the the "metal coolant line" Just pop out the grommet and poke a hole through the grommet, run your wire through the grommet and re-install. (i plan on up-grading the stereo sys. soon)!

Remove the battery and you'll see a rubber grommet on the firewall. You can route the cable through there and have it come down towards the passenger side footwell.

I installed my amp this weekend and did what the rest have mentioned. I poked a hole in the rubber gromet and easily routed the cable into the passenger compartment..

You should get one of the Rockford Fosgate clamp down gormet to go though the fire wall.
So you don't get a draft or have any water find its way into the cabin.

Just a thought

PS: there only about 6 bucks

Hi everyone,

where exactly in the passenger area will I see the new wires? Which panel(s) do I have to remove to grab those wires from the inside of the car?

If you are going through the grommet behind the battery....

I didn't have to remove any panels to see the wires. I just pushed 6 - 12 inches through, and it was right there. Up in the passenger footwell, there is a 1-inch thick foam rubberized mat - it's just behind the air conditioning condensor - the wire will come in right above the top edge of that.
