Wireless CarPlay Perfection, Single DIN
i can tell you every Power Acoustic radio i ever installed was either bad from the get go or died quick. this is just my experience in the install business. we called them disposable radios. sometimes the volume was at 50% every time it turned on. or the volume control was as if the pot was dirty and kinda changed when it wanted to.
i hope those that bought this are on the lucky side though!

it does suck. a single din with carplay/AA is definitely in demand if it can be made by a decent brand with a not crazy price. anything from the older Porsche, Ferrari and other euro to tons of import cars. it would sell like gangbusters.
I'm not understanding why the flagship brands don't embrace simplicity....It's 2024 and they're still cranking out these beyond-gaudy single DINs that look like the kind of radios that looked dope when we were teenagers. From what I've seen, Blaupunkt seems to be the only brand that really embraces a more minimalist OEM/factory look with modern amenities like BT and hands-free calling. Like....go ahead and keep making the ugly chrome knob/button radios but atleast add ONE more reasonable-looking radio to your lineups...damn.

UPDATE: Wireless CarPlay still drops maybe every third drive.. BUT: the wired carplay through USB works.
So just plug into phone, drop it into the little netting in passenger side of center tunnel, and you’re locked in! Aside from the dropping out on wireless, it’s an amazing system. The glass touchscreen is snappy, nav works great, audio sounds great. Even the settings and overall layout is clean and easy to use. The EQ is even impressive.
Definitely a great single din for our cars.
