I had the opportunity to listen to Phil' s Elemental Design sub a few weeks back. I for one am very impressed. If my Eclipse dies I will probably look into into the ED.

I had the eD KV.11 and blew the crap out of it in short order.
Now I run the Audiobahn AW100T

to Quote William from a previous thread:
KV.11
Nice musical sounding sub providing nice bass fill. Good solution for someone that is interested in keeping the sound quality tight and does not need to see there rear view mirror vibrating when sitting at the stop light. Begins to roll off at about 60-65 Hz. Good amp for it would be something that delivers around 250-300WRMS

AW100T
Not quite as musical as the KV.11, but can handle quite a bit more power. Very good SPL as the sub has a higher excursion capability. Freq. roll-off is abit lower at about 50Hz. Not quite as efficient as the KV.11 so you need to run it with an amp that will deliver a good 350WRMS or more. Although not a 100% natural sounding sub - it does not have that BOOMY sound that I have noted with subs like the MTX and Kicker units.

OV.11
Musically tight and fairly efficient. Provided about same SPL as the AW100T - but with a noticable improvement natural sound area. Also needs an amp that puts out a good 350+ WRMS. More musical than the AW100T.

There are a couple different JL subs I have put in the box. Primarily 8W3's and I have custom fitted a couple of 8W7's

www.soundsplinter.com - it is another boutique sub manufacturer (similar to eD).

mage -- heh, my experiences with eD have run the gambit of very happy to very irritated.
all in all, they make a decent product w/ a good sound.
but dealing w/ their customer service is frustrating. and the wait times for some of their stuff in the past has been outrageous (3-4 months). the people and immediate treatment is good, but they just don't always seem to be able to live up to their promises and goals. that being said - last i saw, they were putting some new infrastructure in place to address their issues. so it is possible that they have improved. whatever you do tho? don't pre-order anything.

and William himself shows...
i need to update my pictures to include my grill as well. it is quite sharp, and after 2 years it was a welcome addition.

Kronos-
thank you sir...

CDJ -- thanks... i was going to go looking for that post.

I have not tested one to see if it will fit or how it sounds.

If anyone has one that they can send me to test it - I will pay shipping both ways
