Default Is it worth replace my factory HU with this one?

I recently bought a 2003 S and am thinking about moving the HU from my old car into the S so that I can connect my ipod. I plan on keeping the stock speakers, will this head unit be a step up or down from the factory one?

Gross...that's a step up, but a gross step up for sure.

This will sound much better:

my sony HU just took a dump on me, something about their mobile electronic i never had any luck with.

for that price you might want to go upgraded to a SD player/ipod player instead, burning cd/mp3 get old when you can just drag and drop files onto a SD memory card.

alpine has a very nice SD player unit running around that price range if not a tad more
