The top is flawlessly clean. I actually just got done cleaning it about 15 minutes before the picture... I have no clue why it turned out so nasty looking. I saw that and went back out to look at it and make sure it wasn't really that dirty.... and it wasn't. so i dunno what to tell you..

The back of the seats look like this... (NOT MY CAR)

ALSO, back on topic. I still don't know anything about them. I'm getting a full stereo this saturday. Reciever, component front speakers with amp to power them, sub and speperate amp in back.

SO... If I wanted to upgrade these as well, how would I? What size are they and how do I get to them?

The front covers just pull off. Before you by new speakers, you should check to see if the previous owner put nice speakers in or not. They are 5 1/4" BTW and could be either coaxials or components.

....just pull on the front leather portion, and the cover should pop right off. They cannot be OEM speakers, as OEM speakers are 6.5" and the SPODS hold 5.25" speakers. Just pop the front panel off.

If you need to go further, check out this site:

I try to "pop" it off, but I don't think that it is velcrowed(sp?) on. It feels like it has tabs or something.

That's right it does. Just pull them out as straight as you can.

They are held in with plastic "pins". Move the bottom of the speaker grille from side to side while gently pulling outward. Each side should pop out one at a time. Then place your hand under the grille and gently pop the top clip out. PM me if you need help with this over the phone.
