I've searched and found lots of various topics on the XM antenna mounting location options. Several of them are old and the photos are no longer there though. It appears that the secret compartment is the top recommended location. I'm hoping you guys can help me or point me to an old thread that I was unable to find. I'm getting the OEM XM satellite radio kit. I don't want to use the OEM antenna. Will the Terk XM-SP adapter allow me to connect one of the new micro antennas to the OEM radio unit? The other question I have is how to best accomplish routing the antenna & cable from the trunk into the secret compartment in a way that you can't see the wire. Could someone please post a few pictures of their antenna installs and how they did it? Thanks.

mine sits on my dash up by the windsheild. works fine unless southwest line of sight is blocked by a semi. other then that, works great. only happened once in three years.

I'm planning on putting mine in the secret compartment. Here is a thread of how to run a cable there. They're putting an ipod there, but its the same thing.

OK....I have the OEM XM radio kit. I cannot for the life of me see how you can use a mini antenna and hook it up to the OEM tuner. This first picture is the OEM antenna ends.



Notice the rectangular hole that is slightly off center.

Here is the a pic of the OEM tuner where you connect the antenna.



Now here is a pic of the Terk adapter.



Notice the holes are round and centered. How the hell are you supposed to connect these? I've searched here and on Google and am having no luck at all. Please help me so I don't have to drill holes in my trunk and use the OEM antenna.
