Default flashpro calibration

I have invidia dual exhaust and 70mm test pipe with plm header and k&n intake, but plan on going turbo a year from now, but would it be safe to just run one of the calibrations that flashpro comes with for a year?

I would try out the Toda calibration first, since your most significant mod is a test pipe.

i have a afr, so i could see that while driving, but would be the best afr level for my mods? because i thought i could try a few different calibrations and see which ones the best

All '06+ AP2's have a stock wideband O2, so you just need to use the flashpro to datalog your runs, then analyze them in FlashPro Manager. The reason why it would be best to start with the Toda calibration is because it's the only one that is tuned for a test pipe. The other calibrations are tuned for a catalytic converter, which requires a high VTEC engagement. Since you have a test pipe, you'll want to lower VTEC closer to 4K RPMs, similar to the Toda calibration. Any calibration you choose will require about the same amount of fuel tuning, but the Toda calibration will require the least amount of ignition tuning.

Can you explain why it matters if you have a cat or not to tune vtec engagement point?

I'm guessing you run a risk of getting a CEL if you lower VTEC too much but don't have some sort of CEL fix?

I was planning to have a HFC and flashpro and was going to lower vtec a bit to smooth it out. ..

The AFR in closed loop (part throttle) will always be about 14.7. The AFR at full throttle will be all over the place, depending on your tune and mods. The optimal AFR is whatever your setup "wants", but it will probably be somewhere between 12.8-13.5 for an NA setup.
