flashpro launching
i know for a stock ecu'd s2k they say to launch at 6k so you're in vtec, but what if your vtec is lower? say 5k or somethin. launch where it is or stay with 6k?
To expand on what s57_s2K said ... the goal in a launch is to maximize forward thrust to the ground. If you have grippy tires on a grippy surface, then it will take a redline clutch dump in order to achieve the best launch. However, if you have all-season tires on asphalt, then you might not even be able to go full throttle at all in 1st gear without breaking them loose, so feathering the clutch in at 2K might be the best launch possible.
If you have a good tune, you will be able to achieve a good launch at a lower RPM than a totally stock / untuned S2000, but there's really no way to set it at an RPM that is perfect for all situations.

ok thanks, im planning on getting a flashpro here soon and was just wondering and for some reason tires never crossed my mind haha that might make a huge difference huh? lol. Anyway thanks for your help guys
it's trial & error. i don't take the S to the track. but with my kpro rsx i was able to drop .15-.2 sec. consistently using the launch limiter. i could usually get it set after two/three runs.
it really helps on a launch but like folks aready said - setting depends on surface and tires, mods, etc...
