K.count.1 ( 100 ) !

My engine is knocking at WOT and cylinder number 1 always (even at idle) shows 100 knock count .
My car is 2008 EU S2000 (DBW 2.0L) with 12000 KM on it , and I am using 98 RON fuel .
I recently installed Skunk2 70mm test pipe . and I am hearing noise like rattling . maybe it is causing the problem or it is the valve train (I didn't bring it to the dealer for inspection yet ) .
now I cant do any test on the car because am having final exams . I will finish on 2010/6/10 .
I would love to hear your opinion .

Other than the test pipe, your engine is stock? If so I would guess the rattling that you are hearing is causing the computer to register knocks.
I was told stock equivalent tune with bolt on parts should not cause knocking, but I can't swear on it because I'm seeing knocks on my car even with the stock tune (with a header and a hfc). I don't have a large amount of knocks like yours, though.

Yes my engine stock except a test pipe . My biggest concern is why it shows 100 for K.count.1 .
I will tune knock out after I install Hondata heatshield and AEM v2 CAI . As you can see from my data log IAT sensor was reading 45 C and in my second data log (which I didn't upload it ) it was reading 55~58 C . maybe it is knocking because of heat .

here is the difference between S2000 IAT table and Corvette zo6 IAT table .
both cars have 11/1 compression ratio engines .


at 40 C and WOT s2000 retard 0 degree but z06 retard 6 degree .
I think alcohol injection is the only way to reduce Knock and to maintain engine HP in hot dry whether .

Did you get these knock counts using the "Return To Stock" calibration? If so, then I believe it is normal. For whatever reason, whenever I do a datalog with the RTS calibration, it ALWAYS shows 100 knock counts on Cylinder 1, and no knock counts on any other cylinders. They also appear immediately when the datalog first begins even if I hit the button immedially after the 1st startup with the new flash. In short, I don't think the FlashPro will give knock counts on the RTS calibration.
