Nitrous control with FlashPro
hondata can give us the kpro version of nitrous control if they can simply find/use a couple of the ecu's output relays for us to tap and feed a couple of nitrous relays just like the kpro system. if you have not already, you should download kmanager and check out the nitrous control features - sweet...
anyway.. working with what we have - i'm thinking of a simpler approach. load up a safe tune (pull timing and add fuel accross the board) and datalog a nitrous pull.
how quick will you hit the boost columns when spraying at WOT? if you get there quickly you might be able to get away with just pulling timing from a smaller area of the n/a columns so that you don't give up much when you are not spraying. one tune that gives a good compromise for both n/a and nitious.
i would hope that a decent shot size would get you into the boost columns quickly so you only had to maybe detune the n/a columns round the rpm that you plan to start spraying from.
and maybe you would still have your n/a tune intack from ~5k to redline bacause you should be in the boost columns in higher rpm range at WOT?

If the second map on flashpro can triggered via an external switch, use the same activation switch to trigger the nitrous, that way you will never spray the nitrous without the map setup properly.
How much of a shot are you looking to run anyway??

My plan was to use MAP manipulation to push the Hondata into the boost columns of the maps. When at the right RPM at WOT, the MAP voltage would be shifted up as quickly as the ECU would allow (without throwing a code), and niitrous would be engaged at the same time. I would not want nitrous to be spraying at all when the ECU is still operating in the NA columns.
I will start my test of this with no nitrous at all. The first step will be just to see how quickly I can shift MAP voltage without causing a code. Then I'll see how well it works to use the boost columns to alter fuel and timing at the "flip of the switch". If those 2 tests work out, then adding nitrous will be a snap. I would start out with a 25 or 35 shot as a proof of concept.

Sounds like you're going to have success with this. Thanks for sharing it with us through the forum--it's really neat to learn (both information/facts and good ideas) from you and the many knowledgeable members on the board here.
Are you thinking to use a low switching threshold, ie copy the WOT nitrous MAP identically to any / all tables above the voltage range mapped to say 1.05 or 1.1 bar?

Couldn't you do the same thing with a VAFC style controller? Since all it does is increase/decrease the MAP voltage depending on how much fuel you want to add/take out.
I've got one you can play with Greg - probably just need to run a switch in line with it so that its not active under no nitrous situations.
I'm not sure if it could pump up the voltage high enough to get you into the boost tables but its worth a shot.
