Not really. You are just probably way to young to know how crappy the air used to be in most US cities.

Polution control is a good thing. I remember raking dead fish off the beach at my grandparent's Lake Ontario cottage every morning before we could swim. There were so many, that we had to burn them in a big bonfire every Saturday. That was in the 70s. Lake Ontario is MUCH cleaner now!

In canada they use a tail sniffer to check the cars pollutants, if it's under a specific amount, you pass. Doesn't matter if you run a Test Pipe, HFC, Turbo, etc.

To the OP, if that's the way things are done in NJ, you should consider going to Kpro if that's what's required. You really don't have too many options

Well like I said thank you for being awesome Canada. I spend about 4 months a year all over the US traveling with my team. I will say that every time I get off the plane returning home, I just love the clean air I breathe. US is overwhelmed with smog, yes, but what you should also realize though is automotive emissions contribute to roughly 2% of CO2 emissions world wide. I think there's some easier solutions that would have more impact to saving our enviroment, then restricting exhaust. So I really don't care about not having a cat on my car, or my suv, or my truck .

Op, if youre car is not a daily, post the aem up for sale, and get yourself the haltech platinum sport from jeff Evans and get his harness, that way you wouldnt have problems with inspections. He should be out with prices and etc shortly.
